Generic Baclofen acts similarly to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) to decrease the activity in nerves and reduce muscle pains. This medication is used to treat tightness, stiffness, pulls and spasms in skeletal muscles, muscle clonus and rigidity. Generic Baclofen is most often used to treat cases of spasticity such as spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis.
While primarily used to treat spasticity, Generic Baclofen may also be used to treat early stages of alcohol dependency. Consult your doctor before taking this medication for either above mentioned conditions, or alternative uses.
