Future author, Charlotte, asked great questions about The Wish Stealers, and shared an idea for her next story about magic, midnight, and flowers...
On Thursday, June 24th, I visited R J Julia BookSellers for a casual book signing in their enchanted, independent book store. In a cozy light filled room brimming with books, I sat with a group of children around an old wooden table and shared stories with them about wishing customs around the world and why I wrote the book. The kids asked questions like, “Why do I think Simon & Schuster wanted to publish this book?” and “How do I think wishes come true?” I had the very special pleasure of meeting a lovely, bright, and amazing young girl named Charlotte who loves to write and wants to be an author. Charlotte shared one of her ideas for a magical story and it sounds incredible. I can’t wait to read her story!
Carrie Seiden helped coordinate the event at RJ Julia and made everything go so smoothly. As a school librarian as well, Carrie is a big advocate of The Wish Stealers and I deeply appreciate her enthusiasm.

Hello Tracy. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family at R.J Julia. I am looking forward to reading The Wish Stealers with my students in the fall. I am considering holding a book discussion using our school wikispace (in addtion to a traditional discussion). I will email an invitation to join our online discussion when I firm things up.
I was back in the store last night for another author event and one of the customers was happy that the book she purchased for her daugher (Wish Stealers) came with a pretty blue bundle of wishing pennies.

I just finished The Wish Stealers! I read it all in one night! I thought about my wishes through my life. How many had I truly beleived in and how many had I let somebody else steal away? The other thing I thought about, have I ever been a wish stealer? What an eye opener thought process as a mom that once was a child full of hope herself. Cannot wait til you write another book!

I have got one suggestion for your webpage. It looks like there are a few cascading stylesheet troubles when launching a number of web pages within google chrome as well as firefox. It is operating fine in internet explorer. Possibly you can double check that.
